Managing Directors
Jennie & Emma
Welcome to our website. Our names are Jennie & Emma (Jem's) we are sisters and we are the managing directors of Precious Jem's Childcare.
We were both Ofsted registered childminders within our own homes for over 10+ years but worked together daily whilst we raised our young families.
We both absolutely loved being childminders, that is why we brought the home from home feel to our Nursery and Pre-School.
We are constantly adapting our nursery and Pre-School for our children and staff with the help from our amazing husbands.
Children's health and safety is our number 1 priority, this is why every member of our staff hold a full 12 hour paediatric qualification, they are level 2 safeguard trained, they are all safer sleep trained, hold a level 2 in food safety and hygiene and the full management team are all fully DSL trained.

Adele
Hello, I'm Adele and I'm the Manager of Precious Jem's Childcare, working with both Nursery and Preschool every day.
As part of this role I will also be undertaking the responsibility of the DSL as well as supporting within the SENco role. I have worked with children throughout my entire career and have achieved a Level 6 degree in Early Childhood Studies as well as having achieved various other qualifications relevant to working with children including being Wellcomm certified.
I started my journey at Precious Jem's in August 2023 and I intend to stay forever and ever!
In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my partner, friends and family.
Pre-School Manager & DSL
Julia
Hi my name is Julia and I am the Manager of Precious Jem's Pre-School.
I worked in early years many years ago where I became a level 3 qualified. After bringing up my own 2 children I have returned to the early years sector.
I started my journey at Precious Jem's Childcare in October 2022. I have worked my way up from being 3rd in charge at the nursery to Pre-School Deputy Manager to Precious Jem's Pre-School Manager. I have done a variety of training courses and I am Wellcomm certified.
I'm loving my journey at Precious Jem's :)
Chloe - Precious Jem's Deputy Manager and SENDco
Hi my name is Chloe, I have been working at Precious Jem's from the day it opened. I am a qualified level 3 early years educator, level 3 qualified EY SENCO and Wellcomm certified.
I have worked with all ages since being here at Precious Jem's from babies up to pre-school, working my way up to Deputy manager of Precious Jem's and I am based at the pre-school setting.
Rachael - Precious Jem's Lead Co-Ordinator
Hello I am Rachael. I have been at Precious Jem's Childcare since 1st August 2022 (the day the nursery opened), along with my daughter who has now moved on to school. I am level 3 qualified and I have worked in nurseries for many years. I Started Precious Jem's as the Mini Jem's room leader and moved up with my cohort of children, I am now in Jumbo Jem's with children aged 2-3 years and I have recently just become Precious Jem's Lead Co-Ordinator.
Katie - Jumbo's Room Leader
Hello my name is Katie, I joined Precious Jem's in September 2023 working 3 days a week as a qualified level 3 early years practitioner and I have worked up to becoming the Jumbo Jem's room leader. I have been working in childcare for over 9 years which I thoroughly enjoy. Observing the development of the children and watching them grow into their own little personalities is what I love the most.
Lynsey - Mini Jem's Room Leader
​Hi! I'm Lynsey, I joined Precious Jem's Childcare in March 2023 as a level 2 early years apprentice to pursue my dream career which I have now completed. As well as completing my level 2 I have completed a variety of training courses including specific training for children under 2 years of age. I have worked and gained experience with all ages since joining in 2023 but spent most of my time in Mini Jem's working my way up to the Mini Jem's Room Leader.
Maizie - Dinky Jem's Room Leader
My name is Maizie I am a level 3 early years Educator.
Precious Jem's was my last placement while I was doing my level 3 at college which I completed in May 2023, I then became part of Team Jem's in June 2023.
Since becoming part of Precious Jem's I have done various training courses to widen my knowledge within early years. I have worked with all ages here at Precious Jem's and now Room leader of Dinky Jem's.
Taila Grace - Little Jem's Room Leader
Hi I am Taila and I am a level 2 early years practitioner.
I have been at Precious Jem's since January 2023 joining as an Early Years apprentice and gaining experience with all ages. Not only have I gained a qualification since being at Precious Jem's I have also gained confidence within my practice and myself by completing various other early years training courses. I love helping the children achieve their milestones and celebrating each and every one.
Leanne
My name is Leanne I am 36 years old and have been working with children of all ages since I was 18. I have my level 6 BA Hons degree and enjoy every last minute of helping and watching children develop to their full potential. I fully believe in learning through play and love creating messy, new and exciting activities that challenge the children daily. "A messy child is a happy child!"
Meaghan
Hi my name is Meaghan I am a level 3 early years practitioner. I have experience working with early years children in both Nursery and School settings. I currently work with all ages, I really enjoy doing messy play and Story time with the children and seeing how much fun they have throughout our day.
Gemma
Hi I'm Gemma, I qualified as a level 3 early years educator many years ago. Since then I have had my own children and I have returned to the early years sector. I love watching the children learn and develop and see them gain their own little characters and personalities.
Heidi
Hi I’m Heidi. I’ve worked in childcare for 5 years. I started as a level 2 apprentice and worked my way to complete my level 3, I have been qualified for nearly 3 years. I have had experience with all age ranges up to 5 years old.
Myself and my daughter started our journey with Precious Jem’s in January 2025. I am based in Mini Jem’s and I really enjoy watching them grow into small young individuals.
Melissa
Hello My name is Melissa, I have been working in childcare for a couple of years now and I joined Precious Jem's in July 2024 as a Level 2 early years Practitioner 3 days a week.
I really enjoy doing arts, crafts and anything messy play related with the children, but my favourite part of being a practitioner is creating bonds with all the children, watching them grow and celebrating every milestone they hit.
Tracy - Lunch Time Support
Hi I'm Tracy. I have been with Precious Jem's Childcare since August 2022. I am level 3 qualified with 30+ years of experience within early years. I have worked in other nursery settings and I have also been an Ofsted registered childminder. I am mostly based in the Jumbo's room as extra support and lunch time cover.
Ella
Hello I'm Ella, I have been working at Precious Jem's since September 2024. I am currently working towards my level 2 and based in all rooms to gain experience with all ages. I really enjoy working here at Precious Jem's and watching the children learn, grow and achieve their goals.​
Lauren
Hi My Name is Lauren. I have been working at Precious Jem's since September 2024. I am based in Mini Jem's but I also help out in other rooms to gain experience with all ages as I am working towards my Early years level 2. In my spare time I love spending time with my baby nephew and family.
Millie
Hi my name is Millie, last year I completed my early years T level 2 in college, I have recently joined Precious Jem's as a level 3 early years educator apprentice. Growing up I always knew wanted to work with children, it melts my heart helping and watching them learn and grow. There isn't a specific age group I prefer working with I enjoy working and gaining experience with all ages. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family.

Sophie
Hi I am Sophie, I started working at Precious Jem's Childcare in January 2023 2 days a week which has now increased to 3 days week when my son started. I am level 6 qualified and I currently work with children aged 0-2 years in our Mini Jem's room.
Dan & Lee - Maintenance Team
Meet Dan and Lee, the dedicated team behind Precious Jem's. While they work behind the scenes, their efforts are vital to our success. From developing both settings to fixing doors, locks, and resources, they ensure everything runs smoothly every day. We couldn't be here without their hard work and commitment!
