Jennie & Emma
Welcome to our website. Our names are Jennie & Emma (Jem's) we are sisters and we are the managing directors of Precious Jem's Childcare.
We were both Ofsted registered childminders within our own homes for over 10+ years but worked together daily whilst we raised our young families.
We both absolutely loved being childminders, that is why we brought the home from home feel to our nursery. We are constantly adapting our nursery for our children and staff with the help from our amazing husbands.
Children's health and safety is our number 1 priority, this is why every member of our staff hold a full 12 hour paediatric qualification, they are level 2 safeguard trained, they are all safer sleep trained, hold a level 2 in food safety and hygiene and the full management team are all fully DSL trained.
Nursery Deputy Manager
Adele
Hi, I'm Adele and I'm the Deputy Manager. I will be undertaking the role of the SENco as well as supporting Communication & Language via the Wellcomm programme.
I have worked with children throughout my career so far spanning 16 years and have a Level 6 degree in Early Childhood Studies as well as having achieved various other qualifications relevant to working with children.
I started my journey at Precious Jem's in August 2023 and I intend to stay forever and ever and ever and ever and ever! In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my partner, friends & family :)
Pre-School Deputy Manager
Julia
Hello My Name Is Julia. I worked in early years many years ago where I became a level 3 qualified early years practitioner, after bringing up my own 2 children I have returned to the early years sector. I started my Journey at Precious Jem's Childcare in October 2022. I have recently become 3rd in charge.
Rachael - Nursery 3rd in Charge
Hello I am Rachael. I have been at Precious Jem's Childcare since 1st August 2022 (the day the nursery opened), along with my daughter. I Started as Mini Jem's room leader and moved up with my cohort of children and become Dinky/Little Jem's room leader.
I am level 3 qualified and I've worked in nurseries for many years.
Chloe - Pre-School 3rd in Charge
Hi my name is Chloe, I have been working at Precious Jem's from the day they opened as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner. I am now the room leader for Pre-School and I have just recently qualified as a EY SENDco.
Katie - Room Leader
Hello my name is Katie, I joined Precious Jem's in September 2023 working 3 days a week as a qualified level 3 early years practitioner and I have worked up to becoming the Mini Jem's room leader. I have been working in childcare for over 9 years which I thoroughly enjoy. Observing the development of the children and watching them grow into their own little personalities is what I love the most.
Tracy
Hi I'm Tracy. I have been with Precious Jem's Childcare since August 2022. I am level 3 qualified with 30+ years of experience within early years. I have worked in other nursery settings and I have also been an Ofsted registered childminder. Although I work in the pre-school room I also have experience with the Little Jem's and the Mini Jem's.
Maizie
My name is Maizie I am a level 3 early years practitioner and I work in the baby room (Mini Jem's) at Precious Jem's.
Precious Jem's was my last placement while I was doing my level 3 at college which I completed in May 2023, I then became part of Team Jem's in June 2023.
Jackee
Hi my name is Jackee and I have a level 3 qualification in early years. I joined Precious Jem's Childcare in September 2023 4 days a week after returning from maternity leave, My son has has also joined me at Precious Jem's. I have been working with children for 10 years which I love and I love watching them learn, grow and develop.
Lynsey
​Hi! I'm Lynsey, I joined Precious Jem's Childcare in March 2023, where I am currently pursuing my dream career to become a qualified Early Years Practitioner. I am currently working towards My level 2 qualification. I work in all rooms to gain experience with all ages.
Taila Grace
Hi I am Taila, I am currently working towards my level 2 early years qualification.
I have been at Precious Jem's since January 2023 as an apprentice, I have been gaining experience with all ages but I am mainly based in Pre-School.
Meaghan
Hi my name is Meaghan I am a level 3 early years practitioner. I have experience working with early years children in both Nursery and School settings. I currently work with children aged 2-3 years in our Little Jem's room. I really enjoy doing messy play and Story time with the children and seeing how much fun they have throughout our day.

Lauren
Hi My Name is Lauren. I have been working at Precious Jem's since September 2024. I am based in Mini Jem's but I also help out in other rooms to gain experience with all ages as I am working towards my Early years level 2. In my spare time I love spending time with my baby nephew and family.
Sophie
Hi I am Sophie, I started working at Precious Jem's Childcare in January 2023 2 days a week which has now increased to 3 days week when my son started. I am level 6 qualified and I currently work with children aged 0-2 years in our Mini Jem's room.
